My Backwards Walk

Personally chosen by Belle & Sebastion to perform at their upcoming 2nd bowlie weekender, the band Frightened Rabbits, have earn’t recognition from the heavy weights of the indie music scene. They bring another great Scottish voice to the industry, my favourite Scot is still my boy Paolo Nutini, but these guys are def making their way up there. With Scott Hutchingson as the bands crux, and founder, Frightened Rabbits most recent album “The Winter of Mixed Drinks”, tells again, more stories of heartbreak, with beautiful voices that contrast the often heavy issues of death, love and life, and though it seems many of the songs protagonist is having a pretty intense breakdown, its still hard to stop listening. Frightened Rabbit have been playing on repeat in my bedroom since I shamefully heard one of their songs on, the (highly addictive) tv series chuck. I soon realised this was the Frightened Rabbits I’d so much about. Having supported Death Cab for Cutie while on tour, and performed on the Jimmy Fallon show, they are slowing showing the world that they are a lot more than just another indie band with husky voices. The lyrics with their slight self deprecating, but endearing nature, makes me feel a bit better about being a little lost me ;).

So here’s the tune that personally got me captured from their 2nd album titled ‘Midnight Organ Fight’, hopefully it gets you as well.
